Summary

Purpose statement

The purpose of the Advertising team is to raise awareness for the Collaboratory both on and off campus. This team works with the Collaboratory on campus and off by providing print and media pieces, such as Collaboratory t-shirts, brochures, posters, flyers, Collaboratory videos, donor packets, and other materials.

Goals

The goal of the Advertising team is two-fold:

  • To raise awareness on campus through appropriate and relevant media so that the student body and members within the Collaboratory can stay informed on the various projects and ideas within the Collaboratory
  • To raise awareness about the Collaboratory to off campus organizations, both organizations which are already aware of the Collaboratory and are actively helping and organizations which have not heard about the Collaboratory.

History

This team has been called many names throughout staff's history. In the spring of 2007, Campus Awareness, Church Relations and Marketing merged into the Advertising team to help streamline projects and effectiveness. In the spring of 2009, Relational Marketing was incorporated into the Advertising team. Many of the projects the original teams were working on have been carried over into the Advertising team.
