Mali Water and Disabilities Study/Water Transport


Summary

The Water Transport group seeks to help the disabled people of Mali to obtain water. We hope to accomplish this by looking at many of the physical hardships experienced by those trying to carry and pump water. We will look for ways to improve accessibility of existing water pumps as well as simple solutions to physical limitations when transporting water.

Purpose statement

Goals

  • To provide equal water access to those who are currently limited.
  • To help people with disabilities overcome environmental handicaps.
  • To look for design solutions for future water pumps in order to increase accessibility.

History

Team formed in F06 as a subteam of the Mali Water Project.
