Dylan Thomas

Collaboratory member since Fall 2011.

Position

Student Director 14-15

History

Dylan joined the Micro-Economic Development Group (now Economic Empowerment Group (EEG)) of the Collaboratory in Fall 2011. During his first year he assisted in the preparations of the Summer 2012 CSLA (Community Savings and Loan Association) site team trip to Zambia. At the end of his first year he was asked to serve as Group Leader for the 2012-2013 academic year. During this time, while also serving a a Resident Assistant in Witmer Hall, Dylan was challenged and stretched in new ways which resulted in a significant amount of growth. In Spring 2012 Dylan was recruited and hired for the Assistant Student Directorship of the Collaboratory. He now serves as Student Director.

Dylan believes that students, although young, must be given reverence for their abilities and innate strengths. He believes that encouragement is one of the most powerful tools a leader has in their utility to build up and help transform their followers.
