Marketing Team Promotional Video Director The Collaboratory Promo Video is a new project we want to pursue in order to equip the Collaboratory with an advertising tool that explains its mission and vision in a short video format. This will require a team that will take responsibility collectively creating a storyboard, selecting archived Collab video footage as well as recording new footage, and finally editing and producing the final product. The director will be responsible to delegate tasks to his/her team for the video production as well as scheduling and attending interviews. They will also be required to report to the Marketing team leader with updates and team progress.

In addition, prototypes of each technology need to be constructed in preparation for conference presentations throughout the year. Lastly, as the project expands to new geographic and ethnic regions, modifications will need to be made to the technologies.

This position will entail the creation of a marketing strategy. This strategy will be carried out through the use of posters, flyers, flip charts and other informational materials.

  • Improve on a device that automatically detects smoke and turns on the fan (though the device has been crudely built, numerous improvements need to be made)

Because a lot of performance enhancement experiments have been done in the past semesters, a mechanical engineering student will be required for constructing the prototype device to be sent to Oaxaca, Mexico. There will be numerous sub-projects regarding optimizing the design of the hood itself.
