History

Lauren joined Dokimoi Ergatai the first week of her freshman year, in the fall of 2006, as a result of the bombardment at the Opportunities Fair, following members of DE finding out she was planning on majoring in Engineering. She attended the initial "Come join our club" meetings, and the first half of the first actual meeting of the year, but had a prior engagement and had to leave early. Due to being extremely busy with classes and other activities, she disappeared off the face of the earth for a while, and was not seen at a DE meeting for about 6 weeks. Late that fall, she reemerged, determined to accomplish... something... unfortunately she forgot to come back after the winter break, and thus was considered MIA for the entirety of spring 2007.

In October 2007, Lauren, by then a psychology major, was reminded of this little organization that had become the Collaboratory. She decided to come back and see how it went, and this time it stuck. From then on she was a relatively active member in the Information Management team of the Staff Group, working primarily on creating graphics, including a banner for the website, and other small projects. At some point in 2008, Lauren was transferred to the Marketing team, and assimilated into Advertising.

Since joining the Advertising team, Lauren has continued doing design work as needed, and became the Advertising leader in Spring 2009.
