DE Data Server (DE-Main)
DE is currently transitioning to a new data server. The old server relied on share-based (insecure) Windows file sharing with no password protection. The new server is a SuSE linux server running SSH, Samba, and disk quotas. For more information, see DE-Main server.
DE is looking for a student with experience in Unix/Linux and/or server administration to assist with managing the DE-Main server during the academic year. If interested, please contact Lindsay Reilly or Steve Frank.
Cumulus Modification
We are looking at Cumulus as a solution to our media storage needs. You can access Cumulus by going to: ciweb.messiah.edu/Dokimoi Username: ergatai Password: dokimoi
In order to make Cumulus meet our needs, we need to modify the .jsp code to create a new search feature on the main page that allows for searches based upon preset options while still allowing for keyword searches.
Below are the catagories for the search fields
- Country
- City
- Group
- Date
- Popular Searches
- Blank Field (to type in key words)
